National SOSA has put together the guide to help you shine on your surgery rotation. A “Guide to the OR” has been written by fellow students for fellow students. It contains the most pertinent information about the most common procedures that you will see on your rotation. Peer reviewed, this guide was given to several students just starting their surgery rotation and their feedback has been included in the guide making this a very useful book to carry in your pockets.
Designed as a pocket guide, the “Guide to the OR” can fit into a pocket of your scrubs. This allows you to keep it with you as you navigate your way through the OR without worrying about carrying a bulky book. Step by step outlines of the surgeries are included so that you can preview what will happen just minutes before a procedure is about to begin. Being able to follow what is happening in a surgery drastically enhances your learning from the case.
